17.03.08 BRAND NEW SONG
Need a fix? Transparent reflection, first taste of the new album!!

Yep!! Here it is! The first taste of what's to come on the new Miksha album. We know lots of people have been waiting for a Miksha fix, so here it is; your remedy, your painkiller, your new partner in crime! Introducing; Transparent reflection! Now go to our myspace! Crank your stereo to eleven spinal tap style and let the music soothe your soul!!

Cheers! -Tha Miksha crew!

17.03.08 Looking for label!
Yep! Latest news from the Miksha camp is that we have parted ways with Anticulture records who will not be releasing our second album. However they are still in charge of distributing and selling "Collect your hazardous waste" so if you want that, go check out the Anticulture store. The split with Anticulture has been of the friendliest sort and we wish them nothing but good things in the future! It's been fun! Skål!

This means, just like the headline says, that Miksha are now in search of a label to release the follow up to the debut album "collect your hazardous waste". So if you (or your rich granny from America) like that heavy shizzel, and just happen to own a record label, feel free to contact us at contact[a]Miksha.net. More info on the label situation will be posted as soon as we have it. Yezz!

In other news: The nice folks at eternal-terror.com have posted a review of a gig we did in Trondheim a while back! Check that out here! Ah… and by the way some Norwegian reading skills could come in handy on that one.

From one Trondheim gig to the next! Miksha are confirmed to play the first ever Teip festival. Our gig will take place at Storås utested April the 3rd. Our good friends in Mlgf will be supporting us. We will be trying out some songs from the new album so you best get yo ass down there! Knowhatimsayin?!?! C-ya!!

Peace! -Miksha

08.12.08 NEWSFLASH
Hello rawkaz and a`rolaz!!

A little update on what's going on in the Miksha camp these days.

This summer we spent a couple of weeks with Henning Ramseth (Lowdown, Turdus musicus, Ram-zet) in Space valley studios, where we recorded our next album. This was back in July and the recording sessions down in Hjellum was amazing! Working with Henning was a blast, and if you haven't heard the other stuff he has worked on, we can assure you; this guy really knows what he is doing. We are really exited about the sound he has made for us and we know that everybody else will be as well. Recording the new stuff was a special experience that included everything from banging out hard rocking tracks to spying at dænsband heroes Ole Ivars, and extra time in between sessions spent playing our self invented football game "Balls to the wall(man)!!"

And what a brilliant game that was! Some time in the future we will post the rules on the web, so the rest of the world can enjoy some proper fucking Balls to the wall(man)!! After the recording was done Kim and Henning spent about a week mixing the album, and after that Henning had a few extra mixing sessions before everybody was happy. Then Henning took the mix with him to Cutting room in Sweden for mastering. The mastering was done by Bjorn Engelman (Soilwork, Rammstein, Dimmu Borgir) and sounds awesome! Björn really knew what our sound needed and every single part of the chaos that is the Miksha sound has now found its place! Exiting stuff indeed! We don't have a release date yet, but we will of course keep you posted on that as soon as we know, just make sure you keep dropping by. We also have lots of filmed material from the recording sessions that our video mastermind Mathis will edit very soon. That stuff will be posted now and then in first half of next year, another good reason to keep checking in.

The first weekend of November we did a micro tour and tried out some of the new material. The feedback was incredible and we're really looking forward to playing this stuff live in the future. We have to thank all the people who came out and rocked with us at Amplifier in Oslo and Lundis in Trondheim! You guys made that weekend (everybody knows the weekend starts Thursday) a special one, lets do it again, and again and again! We also have to thank the bands who helped us out on these gigs, so SKÅL!! to Musth and The Hate Colony! Killer bands, if you haven't already, make sure you check them out. Thanks also goes to Hans and the gang at Lundis for working hard and making the gig one to remember! If anyone that came to these gigs are still worried about the health of Travolta (Mathis) who had to perform sitting down, due to a, well lets just call it a "party knee", he is recovering fast. Somehow he has now ended up in Japan, which is a pretty far walk from Trondheim, so he must be feeling better!

Sadly we also have some bad news for the people in our home town Vadsø, the annual 2nd day of x-mosh gig will not be happening this year. Its a bloody shame, but we just cant make it happen this year. We will make it up to everyone (including ourselves) sometime, somehow!

We have also registered that there has been started a Miksha facebook site, which is really cool! Thanks a lot to you guys! Go find it and do that facebook thang!

Well, that's about it for now. More news will follow as soon as we have them! Keep it brutal (on your ears, be nice to your wife)!

Peace!

-The Miksha dudes

ps. Don't sleep to much, the vultures might think you are dead...

01.04.05: Scream Magazine on our new album
–Anders Oddsberg

20.09.04: After three weeks in Dsign studios
we can finaly see the shape of our new album. We've almost finished the recording, all that’s left is the vocals. The songs are turning out extravagant in their own very special ways. We have kept the brutality from our ep, mixed it with better songwriting, better musicans and our own heavy Miksha sound. Picking out songs for the album will probably be hard, but judging by the sound of the material recorded, there is no way we will fuck up!! STUDIO PICTURES

20.09.04: We are sorry for these late updates,
but recently there has been a lot to do both in the Miksha camp. At the same time with recording our album we’re creating the new Miksha atmosphere. This includes cover art, new band photos, new music video, creating bonus material and so on. We are also working with a whole new live consept. This will of course include heavy technology, and great timing!

20.09.04: Speedballproduction
is a new production company stationed in Trondheim with the goal to promote Norwegian bands that they like. They've made a nice Miksha live video from our taste tour. Check it out at www.speedballproduction.com
